Valve with plug supported by diaphragm - has diaphragm formed by metal disc with narrow sealed slots

The refrigerant valve has a plug supported by a diaphragm screwed in the housing by insertion of its edge into an annular groove. The diaphragm (9) is formed by a metal disc (17), which are narrow sealed slots emanating from the edge. It can be of stainless steel and with a thin sealing washer (19) on the side towards the plug (7). The washer can be secured to the disc at the centre only. The washer may be formed as a continuous lining on the disc, and may be of plastics. Alternately it may be in the form of slotted metal discs, whose slots are offset w.r.t the diaphragm slots.
