PURPOSE:To reduce the intrusion on the disc surface and to obtain the reproducing stylus stable in reproduction characteristics and long in life, by the electrode end appeared at the ridge of the top surface of the truncated cone which shows the specified electrode width and thickness even with worn stylus. CONSTITUTION:The slide plane P of the reproducing stylus main body S is made circular or ellipse, and even if the reproducing stylus is driven and shifted toward the breadth direction of the recording trace in the tracking control, the edge of the surface P does not give damage on the surface of the disc or the stylus is not subjected to damage. Further, the part Ea near the plane P of the stylus main body S at the electrode E by the conductive film formed on the stylus S has the form and size so that the electrode end having specified electrode width and thickness appears at the edge of the plane P even with the wear in the stylus. Accordingly, the read-in performance can not be changed even with the wear in the reproducing stylus and easy manufacture can be made by simple machining. |
