Disclosed is a method for controlling appearance of a stereoscopic menu during playback of video data. Stereoscopic menu includes two or more graphical elements, wherein said elements are located on corresponding depths. Method includes a step of checking whether control of appearance of stereoscopic menu is prohibited.
