PURPOSE:To reduce the temperature rise in the unit, by dissipating the heat produced from the spindle drive motor with centrifugal fan and also dissipating the heat from the frame base and circuit components through effective location of the path of fan wind. CONSTITUTION:The flexible recording media 1 is given the specified torque with the collet mechanism 2 and the spindle 3. The roation of the spindle drive motor 5 is delivered to the spindle 3 with the spindle pulley 4 via the belt 6, and the magnetic head 8 is mounted on the carriage 7. The pulse motor 9 which positions and drives the carriage 7 on the specified track of the recording media 1 is provided. When the power supply voltage is fed to the unit, the centrifugal fan 13 is turned with the motor 5, and the heat from the motor 5 is dissipated by sucking wind from the casing of the motor 5 as the arrow, and the wind sucked is discharged orthogonally to the lower side of the frame base 15. |
