The high-voltage power switch has a movable main part (23) with laterally disposed plug-in components (25, 26). These plug-in components interact in the operating position of the high-voltage power switch with fixed contact devices (27, 28). The device comprises a rotary disconnector (24) which has two outer insulators (24a, 24b) and a central insulator (24c) and a contact blade (24''). The contact blade is rotatably disposed on the central insulator in a vertical plane running through the fixed contact devices. The fixed contact devices are connected directly to the outer insulators. When the contact blade is moved to the vertical position, it bypasses the fixed contact devices and the power switch can be pushed aside without interrupting the feed circuit (39, 29, 31, 32). Due to the arrangement of the fixed contact devices and the contact blade described above, bypass rail pieces and supporting insulators which carry them are not required. Furthermore, a more compact design is thereby made possible. <IMAGE>
