摘要

Molybdenum disulphide coating applied to metals, by plasma spraying to provide metal surface with lubricating properties, esp. on hournals, plain bearings, or guides. Powdered MoS2, or a mixt. of Mo and S, is fed into a plasma spraying appts. to form a coating on the glide surfaces of a metal workpiece or component. Alternatively, the spraying appts. may be fed only with Mo. while sulphur is fed into the plasma flame to form the MoS2 coating. The applications of plasma spraying torches etc. are extended to provide lubricating coatings on metals.
