PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery management device that can effectively use the battery performance while assuring the battery lifetime.SOLUTION: A battery management system includes: a history storage unit 104 for storing a battery usage condition calculated based on the voltage, current and power storage amount of a storage battery 101 for any period from the past to the present; a lifetime target value storage unit 107 for storing a lifetime target value τin the case of using the storage battery 101 until a predetermined deterioration amount target value D; a lifetime prediction unit 105 for predicting a lifetime prediction value τ when the storage battery 101 is used till the predetermined deterioration amount target value Dat a preset first charge/discharge limit value and under the battery usage condition; a deviation amount calculation unit 106 for calculating a deviation amount Z between the lifetime target value τand the lifetime prediction value τ; and a limit value changing unit 108 for calculating a second charge/discharge limit value on the basis of the deviation amount Z and the battery usage condition stored in the history storage unit 104, and resetting the second charge/discharge limit value as the first charge/discharge limit value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
