<p>Apparatus for a method of cutting up electrical cables, comprising on a work table (25): - a device for measuring length of run-out (5) which produces a control signal when a specified length of the cable to be cut up is reached; - two pulleys, one undriven (9) and the other driven (8), which are disposed at a certain distance from one another; - a chain or endless cable (15) stretched over the two pulleys (8) and (9); - a drive device (24) rendering one pulley driven (8), the stopping of which is controlled by the control signal delivered by the length measuring device (5); - a clamp (11) attached to the chain or to the endless cable (15) permitting the fixing of one end of the cable to be cut up (1); - a remote-control device (13), (14) for opening and closing the clamp (11); - a device (6) for sectioning the cable. The device for measuring the run-out (5), the remote-control device (13, 14), the sectioning device (6) and the start-position clamp (11) are disposed within a single work station (7). <IMAGE></p> |
