<p>A roller mill has one or more rollers (1) and a grinding path (2) between which a cushion of material to be ground is passed. The thickness of the grinding cushion is monitored by a measuring device (10) and the mean grinding pressure is increased continuously, up to a predetermined upper limit if necessary, or decreased continuously, for as long as the thickness of the cushion has any deviation above, or below, respectively, a predetermined mean thickness, by control means (11-19) which actuates a hydraulic means (9) arranged to act on the rollers (1). </p> |
