<p>PURPOSE:To make sure the tightening of a split-type case for a worm-type rotary machine and the prevention of gas leakage thereform by forming said case into such a construction that the case enclosing a worm rotor and pinion is divided in such a manner that the divided faces does not run turough the cover for worm shaft bushes so as not to make any cross portion on each divided face of the pinion and worm case. CONSTITUTION:A split-type case is contructed in such a manner of dividing the case 4 enclosing as a united body a worm rotor 1 and a pinion 3 which mesh each other, along the divided face 5 which is parallel to the rotor shaft 17 through the axis of the pinion 3 or, in another embodiment, along the divided face 22 which extends orthogonally along the rotor shaft 17. The spilit-type case has no any cross portion on the divided face 5 in which the case 7 should be joined, and also no any divided face along the shaft 17 in the shaft bush covers 16 and 18 which are provided to support the shaft 17. It may thus be possible to achieve surely the tightening of such split-type case and the prevention of gas leakage therefrom. Furthermore, the worm rotor 1 is divided along a dividable portion 2 which extends orthogonally to the axial direction thereof, so that the worm rotor 1 may be engaged readily with the pinion 3 in assembly work thereof.</p> |
