PURPOSE:To miniaturize the device and to obtain a measured value with high precision by parallelly placing both a light emission diode array and a photoelectric- conversion element array, respective diodes and elements of which are linearly arranged at regular intervals, and by locating an object to be measured between both the arrays. CONSTITUTION:When the light emission diodes L1-Ln are sweepingly lighted from left to right by the CPU7 of the microcomputer in accordance with a program, which is previously stored in the memory 8, every fixed sampling time, the light ray is received by the corresponding photoelectric-conversion element m1-mn, the full addition current corresponding to the quantity of received light ray is provided to the output, and converted into voltage in sequence by the current-voltage converter 14, the voltage is converted into a digital signal by the A/D converter 15, and is processed by the microcomputer 6. The space between the light emission diode array 4 and the photoelectric-conversion element array 5 is made a shaded space, an object to be measured can be located there to measure the position of the object. |
