PURPOSE:A machine for making split ''SURUME''(dride cuttlefish) in which arc-shaped edge is fitted on the top of the revolving shaft so that the edges, as the shaft revolves, come into contact with the fixed cutting edge on the front surface with zig-zag step in order from the top to the base with a certain interval between both edges, thus splitting the whole trunk part of cuttlefish without aid of manual operations. CONSTITUTION:Fixed cutting edge 14 is fitted at the end of supplying belt 11 wider than the trunks of cuttlefish to be split. Revolving shift 15 is provided on the side of the supplying belt 11 in parallel and the top end is equipped with revolving plate 17 bearing several arms 16, 16,..., to each of which is fitted arc-shaped cutting edges 18, 18.... As the shaft 15 revolves, the top end of each arc-shaped edge 18 comes into contact with the fixed cutting edge 14 on the front surface with a certain interval between both edges and gradually the interval becomes narrower until they completely comes contact at the base part. The dried cuttlefishes are continuously supplied onto the belt 11 so that the center lines of the cuttlefish roughly comes on the center line of the belt 11, pressed with means 13 and transferred to the cutter, where the cuttlefish is split from the right side to the left side by fixed cutting edge 14 and cut off at the base part to give split cuttlefish. The zig-zag step on the front surface of the fixed cutting edge 14 gives irregularly cut-off cuttlefish with fluffs. |
