PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a steel cord is used as a reinforcement material in a belt layer of a tire since the belt layer receives strong shock or large load, and a rubber coating the steel cord requires good adhesiveness with the steel cord and excellent durability.SOLUTION: The above described problem is solved by a rubber composition obtained by blending 30 to 80 pts.mass of carbon black having nitrogen absorption specific surface area (NSA) of 50 o 95 m/g and DBP absorption amount of 65 to 90 ml/100 g, 0.1 to 10 pts.mass of organic acid cobalt salt and 3 to 10 pts.mass of sulfur based on 100 pts.mass of diene rubber containing 80 pts.mass of a natural rubber, and blending 0.1 to 5 mass% of a specific sulfide compound based on the carbon black.SELECTED DRAWING: None
