PURPOSE:To provide an economic firing system, by changing a firing instruction transmitted through a common light transmission passage, into an electric signal and thereafter obtaining a light signal type firing instruction for thyristors of the group. CONSTITUTION:A light signal type firing instruction is transmitted from a control circuit of ground potential to a higher potential side through a common light transmission passage 14. The transmitted firing instruction is changed into an electric signal by the light receiver 9 of a firing instruction relaying circuit 13 provided just before a converter. A pulse generator 10 is caused to produce an electric pulse by said electric signal. The pulse is applied to a pulse amplifier 11 to cause series- coupled light emitters 12 to emit light. Light signal type firing instructions are thus supplied from the light emitters 12 to the gate circuits of thyristors of one group. According to this constitution, the long light transmission passage extending from the control circuit to the relaying circuit 13 is greatly reduced. Therefore, the constitution is made economic. |
