PURPOSE:To reduce mechanical loss and wear and diminish the number of work steps, by securing a commutator bar made of a molding material and having a small diameter part, a groove and a plane part at an end of a shaft to manufacture a commutator. CONSTITUTION:A small diameter part 9A, a groove 15 and a plane part 16 are provided at one end of a shaft 9. the groove 15 is made by cutting or the like of the peripheral surface. The plane part 16 is made between the small diameter part 9A and the groove 15 by milling, pressing or the like. A commutator bar 13 is accurately molded by a material 14 by a mold so that the bar is integrated with the shaft 9 and has almost the same diameter as the shaft. A commutator is thus manufactured. This results in strengthening the adhesive power between the shaft and the commutator and reducing the mechanical loss and wear of the commutator, as well as the number of work steps. |
