The device for regulating the flow rate of waste water mixed with clear rainwater comprises a collector chamber (1) comprising a first orifice (5) called orifice for receiving the mixed water and second and third orifices (6, 9), called orifices for discharging the water which is concentrated into waste water and clear water. Between the first and second orifice, an adjustable device (10) is mounted, which consists of a first conical element (21) having a lateral opening (22) and is extended by a second conical element also comprising a lateral opening (33) consisting of a shutter (34) whose height can be adjusted. A first protuberance (23) and a second protuberance (24) are used to deviate the mixed water entering the device and a baffle plate (25) closes off, in a partial manner, the inside of the first conical element. After floods or storms, the water which contains a lot of waste water, which is denser, flows through the adjusting device (10) via the second orifice, whereas the clear water, which is less dense, is forced into the collector chamber (1) and discharged via the said third orifice. <IMAGE>
