<p>The compacting hand tool consists of a weight (1) of spherical shape which is partly surrounded by a plastic cover (2). The weight (1) is shaped in such a way that its open active face has a smaller dia. than the actual dia. of the sphere so that it is held firmly by the shape of the cover. Apart from this feature the sphere is provided with a plug-like recess in which the spike (6) fitted to the handle (4) is anchored. The handle is fitted in a socket (3) of the plastics cover (2). Alternatively retaining lugs or rings on the inner surface of the plastics cover can be provided to keep the weight (1) in place. The weight is made of specifically heavy material such as concrete, cast iron or similar.</p> |
