The stop serves to guide the workpiece laterally, for example when sawing and planing during the feed, and to enable various angular positions relative to the table to be set quickly and accurately. The stop has a basic body (3), which can be fastened to the supporting table, and a connecting column (12) which can be firmly clamped at its bottom end to the basic body at various angles of inclination to the vertical.
