Radial ply lorry tyre - reinforced by alternately inclined parallel wire loops around bead core

A pneumatic tyre with a radial steel wire carcass, specially for lorries, has beads which are reinforced by two more layers of steel wires. The wires of the bead reinforcement lie all parallel to each other, with a distance between them not less than the wire diameter and not more than three times the wire diameter. The wires reach from above the rim on the outside to above the rim on the inside, but have no inclination of 30 degrees on the outside to one side and of 30 degrees on the inside to the other side. This creates an efficient reinforcement for the anchorage of the radial carcass and a transition zone between the very flexible tyre sides and the rigid bead core.
