Fixing wire around pressed paper bales - by forming two twisted joins, cutting between joins and retracting loose ends from twisting disc

The arrangement is intended for securing wire (3) around compressed bales of old paper. An upper wire and a lower wire which have been connected are wrapped around a bale by moving the bale to form a loop around it. The wire is twisted together at the rear edge of the bale and again at a distance from it and cut between the connections, after which the next bale is moved in. After cutting, the loose ends of the twist are retracted from the twisting disc by swivelling the wire feed head upwards.
