The strip curtain consists of vertical flexible strips which can be moved together on their lengthwise axis and which have upper seamed ends into which strip-holders are inserted. The holders, in conjunction with suspension pieces (13) mounted in slides or runners which in turn move along a rail. The shaft (31) of the strip suspension piece (13) consists of two, pivoting sections (38) coupled together. The top of the one part (38) of the shaft supports a cogwheel (20); the bottom of the same part (38) consists of the sprung couplings.
