<p>Carrier layer is made of a high density elastic material, e.g. a polymer or rubber, and is bonded to a layer of sound absorption material contg. open or closed pores between the two layers is a row of cavities contg. reinforcing ribs made of a stiff material which can carry static loads. Carrier layer pref. has Shore hardness 30-120, and is a panel 0.5-10 mm thick made from material with density 0.5-10 kg/dm3; and second layer is pref. a foamed elastomer with sound absorption coefft. alphasab =0.2-1.4. Ribs may or may not be equispaced, and pref. consist of steel profiles, esp. spring steel profiles with a U-; C-; hat-; round-; rectangular-; or corrugated- corss-section. Ribs may also be made of an elastomer. Sound absorbent materials are combined with rigid materials.</p> |
