PURPOSE:To obtain a simple and inexpensive construction capable of effecting a capping operation during a non-recording period by disposing in parallel to a power source switch a second switching means for cutting off a supply power source when a recording head is capped by means of a capping means and for making the supply power source when the capping means is removed from the recording head. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 1 is switched on, several types of voltages for controlling individual sections are supplied to a control section 7 via a stabilizing circuit 6, and in a case where a recording command is given to the control section 7 from an external section, a capping means 4 is caused to operate such as to be removed from a injecting surface 3A of a recording head with a second switching means 5 being kept in a ON state, the recording by the recording head 3 being thereby allowed to be effected. In other words, even when the power source switch 1 is switched off during a recording period, the second switching means 5 is allowed to remain in the ON state, and the recording operation can be continued by the action of the power source successively supplied as long as the capping means 4 is kept unactuated. The supply of power source is allowed to continue unless the recording operation is stopped by means of a key switch or a capping command is issued to activate a capping operation. |
