PURPOSE:To dry and crystallize a powdery or granular material in a short time by radiating microwaves to a powdery or granular material in a treating tank provided with an inlet and an outlet of the material and controlling the microwave radiation output based on the result of a temperature sensor sensing the material temperature in the tank. CONSTITUTION:A powdery or granular material mainly composed of a synthetic resin material is fed from a material inlet 11 into a tank 1, and microwaves are radiated from a microwave device 2, which are introduced into a ring-shaped space 17 provided around the treating tank 1 by means of a waveguide 22, and the powdery or granular material in the treating tank 1 is heated by the microwaves. At that time, the material temperature in the treating tank 1 is sensed by a temperature sensor 3, based on which the microwave radiation output is radiated from the microwave device 2 is controlled by a controller 21 to the material temperature corresponding to the powdery or granular material to be put in, and the material is dried and crystallized without discoloring caused by fusion and oxidation generated by softened surface of the powdery or granular material. |
