PURPOSE:To obtain a straight and stripped metal wire by a method wherein a metal wire is held by the wire holder and with the rotating body of a peeling device which is rotating and moving along the axial direction, a cutter on the rotating body is brought into contact with a metal wire which has a insulation covering. CONSTITUTION:A metal wire 2 is held by the holding member 12 and the fixed bed 13 of the wire holder B. The rotating body 7 is driven to rotate with a rotating driving gear 6 of the device A for removal of insulation covering. By this rotation the cutter 8 is driven to pivot around the pin 9 and to move toward center by centrifugal force and brought into contact with a metal wire 2 which passes through the central hole 10. At the same time the rotating body 7 is moved along the X direction by a transfering bed 11, and the insulation covering of the metal wire 2 is peeled. |
