PURPOSE:To improve the temperature characteristics of a magnetoelectric transducer and reduce the irregularity of the converting output voltage thereof by disposing a magnetic reluctance element in the magnetic field of a magnetic field generator and forming a magnetoelectric converting characteristics in response to the dividing ratio of a current path divided via boundaries having different magnetic field directions. CONSTITUTION:A constant bias current I is supplied from a constant-current source CS to supply terminals T1, T2 in logitudinal direction of a current path IC of a flat band-like magnetic reluctande element MR made of anisotropic ferromagnetic material. The element MR has sufficient magnetic strength for magnetizing the ferromagnetic material in saturated state, and faced with a magnetic field generator MG for generating first and second magnetic fields HS, Hm having different directions via the boundary line l of the current path IC. The output voltage Vx obtained between the terminals T1 and T2 is proportional to the length x. |
