PROCESS FOR THE PREPARATION OF PHENYLINDANES A process for preparing dimers of .alpha.-substituted styrene compounds, which process comprises contacting the .alpha.-substituted styrene compound with a catalytic amount of sulfuric acid, heating the reaction mixture at a temperature from about 25.degree.C to 250.degree.C and isolating the saturated dimer.
