Preparation and use of bouvardin and deoxybouvardin

Bouvardin (C40H48N6O10) and deoxybouvardin (C40H48-N6O9), bicyclic hexapeptides isolated from Bouvardia ternifolia are provided in the form of pure materials, individually, and as a mixture with each other. The pure materials exhibit significant anti-neoplastic disease activity in vivo and in vitro.
