Alloys contg. Ni, Cr, Si and B are useful for soldering dental prostheses, esp. those made of nonprecious metals, and are corrosion resistant. For example, an alloy contg. Ni 72. 05, Cr 18.60, Si 4.69 and B3.72% had a tensile strength of 2914 kg/cm2, compression strength of 15743 kg/cm2, and m.p of 982-1065≦̸C.
