PURPOSE:To realize the high-speed encoding process by constructing the encoding device with encoding control data storing ROM, the input picture signal storing buffer memory, the encoding code table storing ROM, the picture element number counter, the transmission data producing counter and others. CONSTITUTION:For encoding device ENC which converts the binary coded picture signal into the serial data through the encoding compression, the picture signals equivalent to two lines of coding and reference each are stored into RAM5 of buffer memory BUF. For the process of each line, the simultaneous reading is given by one bit and then the presence or absence of the changing point is examined by changing point detector 14 and then encoded to be stored in changing picture element number counters 6 and 15. Both the encoding control data stored in ROM3 and the encoding code table data stored in ROM7 are read out to the common bus to be applied to bit detector 8 and transmission data producing counter 13, and then transferred by one bit in accordance with the bit request signal of transmission control part TCO. |
