PURPOSE:To remove air bubbles effectively by equipping a pressure-type on-demand ink jet recording device with an air-bubble collecting means, a means for vibrating an ink liquid within the air-bubble collecting means, and a means for detecting air bubbles within an ink chamber of a jetting head. CONSTITUTION:Along the line of a recording device from an ink tank 9 to a jetting head 2 are provided an air-bubble collecting means 8 and a means 7 for vibrating an ink liquid within the air-bubble collecting means 8. In addition, inside of the ink chamber of the jetting head 2 is provided an air-bubble detecting circuit 10 detecting the presence of air bubbles more than the quantity set beforehand. By using the device, air bubbles having mingled in the ink within the ink chamber of the jetting head 2 are detected by a detecting part of the air-bubble detecting circuit 10, which starts a control circuit 11, actuates a vibrating device 7 and thereby facilitates an air-bubble collecting action of the air-bubble collecting means 8. |
