<p>The electrical plug used on a vehi cle is of tandem construction and has an intermediate body portion (3) between a large diameter part (1) and spindle with a conductive tip (12). This plug fits inside a sleeve (6) which has a central hole (7) to recieve the intermediate portion. The latter portion has a radial contact (5) which is forced against a resilient conductive contact strip (8) which can move inside a slot along the sleeve. Around the outside of the sleeve are three resilient arms, one opposite the conductive strip (8) and the other two at right angles to them. These have a centering action when inserted in a socket, and prevent rotation out of alignment and contact.</p> |
