The water from the fresh water container (1) is passed to the tea or coffee filter via a continuous heater. There is a riser and an outlet pipe (4) designed as a buffer container (7) which has a throttle opening (13) and an overflow opening (8) which can lead back into the fresh water container (1). As soon as a specific water level has been reached in the buffer container the incoming water flows back to the freshwater container whilst the amount of water flowing into the coffee filter is restricted by the throttle opening. Hot water can now be added to the freshwater container which means a quicker process without any drawbacks.
