PURPOSE:To give normal and satisfactory characteristics to a motor when power supplies are unbalanced by varying individual phases of motor windings so that windings are unbalanced, and making the equivallently balanced three-phase-winding operation possible. CONSTITUTION:Under the conditions where unbalanced voltages EUV, EVW, EWU are applied between the individual phases, e.g., EUV=190v, EVW=200v and EWU= 210v, the number of turns of individual motor windings N1, N2 and N3 are arranged so as to satisfy N1>N2>N3, and the sizes of individual wires S1, S2 and S3 are made to satisfy S3>S2>S1. When unbalanced power supplies U, V and W are varied in such a way that EUV=210v, EVW=200v, and EWU=190v, the normal operation can be performed by only changing a lead taps T1 and T3 of the motor windings. |
