A loading machine enabling the application of tensional or compression forces is esp. for calibrated force measurement devices with a set of wts. (1) on a suspension (7) with a lifting table placing them successively on the suspension. It is designed to ensure shock-free or substantially shock-free load transfer at low cost. This is achieved by placing an axis symmetrical spring body (6) between the suspension element (7) and the topmost weight disc (1). The spring body is joined to the suspension and wts. only in its centre. When fully loaded it extends from about 5 to 100 millimetres. It may be a looped strap or a spring beltons of solid material or thick-walled tube.
