A hopper contg. bulk material is located above a conveyor belt driven by a variable speed motor to dose the bulk material into a mixer. Alongside the hopper are one or more containers for liqs., which are fed via dosing appts. into the mixer. The motor shaft employed to drive the conveyor belt is fitted with cams which drive the dosing appts. so the latter is synchronised with the speed of the conveyor belt. The plant is used in the mass prodn. of castings for sanitary use, mortor vehicles etc.
