The non-return valve has a plug controlled by the flow medium and sliding axially in a body inserted in the valve housing. The body is joined to the housing wall by arms or ribs, while the housing is in two detachable parts, one containing the inlet and the other the outlet. The insert body (12e with its supporting arms or ribs (34) fits detachably in the housing (10), and the body can be formed integrally with the arms etc. Three ribs may be fitted to the insert body. They can be of thermoplastics, or coated with it.
