METHOD OF MAINTAINING PRESET PARAMETERS OF DRILLING MUD

A method of maintaining preset parameters of the drilling mud fed into the borehole during the drilling process consisting in continuously measuring the redox-potential values of the drilling mud fed into the borehole and outcoming therefrom, comparing those values and registering the change of the redox-potential value. In case of a change of the content of oxidation products in the drilling mud outcoming from the borehole the drilling mud fed into the borehole is subjected to a unipolar treatment so that the content of the products of reducing reactions therein is increased until the preset value of the redox-potential of the drilling mud outcoming from the borehole is restored, whereas, in case of a change of the content of reduction products in the drilling mud outcoming from the borehole the drilling mud fed into the borehole is subjected to a unipolar treatment so that the content of the products of oxidation reactions therein is increased until the preset value of the redox-potential of the drilling mud outcoming from the borehole is restored.
