Mounted adjacently to the front edge region (44') of the blind slats (40), seen in the direction of flow, are pile seals (106) which extend transversely across water ducts (57). The latter are formed by sections of the blind slats (40) which overlap when the blind slats (40) are closed. Further sealing strips (100) are mounted on the housing, which seal against the side edges of the blind slats (40). The pile seals (106) are arranged in such a manner that they do not block the ventilation opening when the blind slats (40) are open. When the blind slats (40) are closed, water can nevertheless flow off under the rear end edges (65) of the blind slats (40) through into the water ducts (57) and below the sealing strips (100) to the outside of the ventilation device.
