PURPOSE:Title composition providing a short finishing time, which disperses extremely easily over the entire surface of medium, prepared by dispersing oil and fat, by adsorption, in both a finely divided inorganic support having a high specific surface and excellent adsorptivity and abrasive powder. CONSTITUTION:The grainy abrasive composition of the purpose is prepared by mixing a finely divided inorganic support having a high specific surface and excellent adsorptivity, such as talc, kaolin, zeolite, terra abla, diatomaceous earth, silica or alumina, having a fineness of below 3mum, and a finely divided abrasive having a particle size of below 80mum, such as aluminum oxide, chromium oxide, iron oxide, cerium oxide and tripoli, and adding to the resulting mixture, with stirring, oil and fat such as stearic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, carnauba wax or spindle oil, thereby to uniformly disperse the oil and fat in the mixture. This composition, because of its grainy form, has excellent storage stability and during use, becomes a viscous paste having excellent polishing performance. |
