Sausage chain subdividing machine - with feeler controlling two rising circular cutters

A machine for the continuous severing of single sausage from a long chain consists of a feed conveyor which is separated by a gap of the same length as the twisted sausage ends from a discharge conveyor. A hinged cutter with two revolving circular blades is moved upward into the gap to cut out the twisted skin end, when a feeler indicates that an end has reached the gap. This automates this process completely. The machine operates independent of the sausage length and disposes of the twisted end between every two sausages.
