<p>The posts, pillars or poles are made of a corrosion-resisting metal, e.g. steel coated with zinc, and are provided with a row of rings spaced apart along the post etc. The bore of each ring is provided with prongs anchoring the ring on the post; and the periphery of each ring consists of a collar or flange employed to locate and separate plastic tubes, which may be different colours. When a post maust be provided with a vertical row of markings with different colours, e.g. for traffic signs, pedestrian crossings, etc., hand painting which is slow and costly is normally required. The invention uses plastic sheaths of different colours, which are easily attached to the posts via the rings.</p> |
