The assembly method is for fibre tip pens. There are several processing stations at one of which a plug is slid into the pen housing. Subsequently a hollow needle is axially inserted into the plug to inject the writing liq. The housing is taken from the conveyor during each processing state and clamped fast. During the first stage the plug is only partially inserted into the housing (4), and during the second stage which includes the insertion of the hollow needle (20) the projecting end of the plug is held, while during the third stage the plug (15) is fully inserted into the housing third stage the plug (15) is fully inserted into the housing (4).
