PURPOSE:To simplify programs by providing an interrupt mask, which permits or inhibits the interrupt signal on a basis of information from the processing part, in the line adapter. CONSTITUTION:In case of data transmission, the output of transmission interrupt mask circuit 19 is set to ''1'' to open gate 25; and if an interrupt cause occurs in transmission interrupt control circuit 21, it is transmitted through gates 25 and 26 to cause interrupt IRQ. After transmission of one frame, the output of interrupt mask circuit 19 is set to ''0'' if data is not transmitted. Then, transmission is closed. If data should be transmitted continuosuy, the output of interrupt mask circuit 19 is set to ''1'' to set the transmission open state. In case of receiving, receiving is opened or closed by setting the output of receiving-side interrupt mask circuit 20 to ''1'' or ''0'' similarly to transmission. |
