PURPOSE:To simplify the method of and device for separating blood by using a specific an elastic porous body. CONSTITUTION:Elastic porous body 3 of more than 40% in porosity, 50-400mu in pore size, and 0.01-0.1 in apparent specific gravity is used which is made of foamed urethane, rubber foam, polyformal resin, elestic porous nonwoven cloth, etc. Then, elastic porous body 3 is inserted into a tube opening part after whole blood 2 is collected in blood-collecting tube 1, and then blood-collecting tube 1 is set in a centrifugal separator. Consequently, elastic porous body 3 lowers gradually into the tube while rubbing against the internal wall of blood-collecting tube 1 by centrifugal force and serum or plasma of whole blood 2 elastic porous body 3 by capillary phenomenon and is separated. Then, elastic porous body 3 is held lastly between blood serum or plasma layer 4 and solid component layer 5 and whole blood 2 is separated. |
