PURPOSE:To improve flatness of a tab as much as possible by applying a rigidity increasing work to prevent warp at least on outer peripheral end of the tab coming longitudinally thereof. CONSTITUTION:A lead frame consists of a tab 1, a tab lead 2 and a multitude of leads. Ends of both sides of the tab 1 are bent down at right angles to form a bend 1a. This may increase a bending rigidity running longiduainally of the tab 1 to prevent warp. Then, warp can also be prevented solidifying ends of both sides of the tab, which will display the work hardening effect. Further a similar prevention can be expected from a shaping effect by applying shearing work on ends of both sides of the tab. |
