A power composition having good melt flow properties under zero shear condition comprises a melt blend mixture of a thermoplastic elastomer, e.g. a block copolymer of styrene and hydrogenated butadiene, and a melt flow modifier, e.g., a partially hydrogenated styrene/alpha methyl styrene random copolymer. The composition may be made by ,1) melt blending the elastomer and the flow modifier, (2) cooling the blend to form a solid; (3) pelletizing the solid blend and (4) grinding the pellets to the appropriate particle size. The powder composition may be a non-tacky composition. Such non-tacky powder compositions may be made by dry blending the pellets generally like those of from stage (3) with a melt flow modifier having a glass transition temperature of at least 20 DEG C and grinding the blend to the appropriate particle size. …The tacky and non-tacky poweder compositions are useful in the coating of glass containers, particularly to produce glass bottles which are fragment retentive if broken.
