PURPOSE:To ensure current collection and reduce internal resistance in a flat battery by connecting, electrically and directly, a metal net which is a core of positive electrode and a current collector for metal positive electrode, with small projections. CONSTITUTION:The net 10 of, for instance, stainless steel wire forming the core of the positive electrode 13 is connected, electrically and directly, to the current collector 6 made of stailess steel thin plate, with the small projections 12 of the metal foil 11 placed between them. Connection of the current collector 6 and the metal foil 11 need not be made by welding; they are fixed together after completion of battery because the small projections fit into the openings of the net 11. The positive electrode mix is, for instance, a mixture of electrolytic manganese dioxide, acetylene black, aq. dispersion of PTFE, and water. |
