PURPOSE:To warn pedestrians, riders of two-wheeled vehicles or the like by a method wherein an alarm means such as an alarm light, an alarm buzzer or the like is operated when a steering angle of a large vehicle for right or left turning is bigger than a predetermined angle. CONSTITUTION:When a steering wheel 22a is turned from a neutral position to the left by an angle bigger than predetermined angle, an arm 22c pushes an actuator 23a to close a switch 23 and a buzzer 36a and a lamp 36b are operated to warn pedestrians or riders of two-wheeled vehicles situated at the left side of a large vehicle. If a bumper thereof hits the two-wheeled vehicle or the like, for example, during the left turning, an actuator is operated by a displacement of the bumper and a buzzer alarms it. Further, this alarm continues to sound unless otherwise a driver of the large vehicle makes an emergency stop and operates a self-holding release switch. |
