The apparatus intended for the investigation of the human body with a view to making a diagnosis comprises a device for recording images of the human body, composed of a light detector (B) with two photosensitive layers beneath which is found a filtering dielectric (C), a light converter/amplifier (D), an insulating layer (E) and a metal plate (F) connected to a high-voltage current source (IT). The high-voltage current is obtained by discharging a capacitor into a transformer, possibly then passing through a rectifying device. <IMAGE>
